A country which is far more vast then some of us can ever think .
Five thousand years of civilization but still don't know where to go.At crossroads searching for Gods in everything even in stones.
A river runs through thousand kilometers of unprivileged land before vanishing in to sea... i don't know whether it is her destiny or a way to escape from all the mess.
one billion people trying to make something which was never there a country .. a nation .
Taking proud in everything which is acknowledged worldwide and remotely linked to us... Nobel prize, an Oscar. anything will do to make us sing JAI HO.
Seeing all this all these years, i have questioned myself why do we need this kind of signs?
Don't we have that kind of talent which can do some research which bags Nobel, which can bag Oscar ?Are we so desperate that a man or woman of Indian origin bags a Nobel and we pounce on it as our achievement as a nation?Does talking about ARYABHATTA and RAMANUJAM really make any difference to where we stand today or will stand tomorrow?
yes, agreed that we should remember them as greats ... but mere discussing their achievements is not going to change anything for us. Isn't it a right time to force our politicians to come up with some bright ideas on how to generate more scientist, scholars. As of now we are not facing any problem of investments, we seems to be doing very good in all aspects of economy. Can we sustain all this growth without doing good research work ourselves?
i don't think so. So whats the way forward? that should be a big question on everyone's mind.
what we need to do differently as nation? certainly, we can't imitate as our needs are different.
i think first we need to do is to realize that we don't need to be America or UK to be successful. They have different circumstances and we have different.
Here i think thoughts of Gandhi might still be relevant today like empowerment of weaker section of society, empowerment of our villages and importance of swaraj.
I personally would like to see a true panchayati raj in India. some may argue that its a sure shot recipe of a disaster but i don't think so. Anyway we need to believe in our people to be successful.
when empowerment reaches to rural India only then people of India will be confident enough to say yes we can do it.
After all they are the people who votes for them let them answer them and once and when this happen i think it will change India from being accepting anything to accepting only Quality life.
i don't what was on my mind when i wrote this .............. this was one of first things which i wrote on this blog but was at draft status for long time ................
